Featured Speaker Marcus Session:
Vice President of Information Technology Services for Tampa International Airport (TPA)

Marcus Session is responsible for leading and advising on technology initiatives throughout the Tampa International Airport organization. He has 23 years of experience in Information Technology working in a variety of industries. Previously, he served as Interim CIO for USF Health and Senior Director of IT Operations for the USF System.
During his tenure the usage of technology at Tampa International Airport has undergone transformational change. He led restructuring of the ITS department, development of the project management office, implementation of the first full indoor 5G deployment at an airport, and applying numerous innovative ideas to create value for the organization.
Marcus is an active leader that has engaged in the community through participating in several organizations including SIM Tampa Bay, Airport Council International, and the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay.
He has spoken at national conferences and led transformative initiatives to help Tampa International Airport reach its goals through technology. He holds a Master’s of Science in Information Technology, as well as a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Florida. He is also a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and a Cisco Networking Academy alumnus.
At this special Roundtable the key focus will be on these key segments for discussion and insights:
- Courageous leadership should be done all the time, and not just during a crisis (It's a feature, not a tool)
- Tools to better manage change (you will ruffle feathers, people will be uncomfortable, but that's part of the process)
- Leading vs. Managing where people get it wrong (Leadership isn't based on an org chart, The critical areas where people fail at being an effective leader, no relationships, don't continuously analyze and develop, fail to manage up, and don't tailor their branding for the individual audiences, internal storytelling as an example)
- How to connect with people to build better relationships (employees, colleagues, networking)
