Here are some quick tips to help you overcome your fear of public speaking toward any audience whether a business meeting, a networking scenario, a boardroom or conference room setting or a small or large gathering.

Here are 4 quick tips you can use right now!

1. Arrive early enough to fully perceive the room and everything in it. Observe colors, shapes, sizes, textures of objects you can readily see. This gives you space and prepares you to deliver with more ease.

2. Look at as many individuals in your audience as you speak. Really notice them. This will help you connect with them and provide a more natural conversational tone to your delivery. It will surely calm you down.

3. Allow your audience to digest what you just said. You are creating a very meaningful pause to make this happen. It also eliminates the "racing" that speakers experience when they feel they have to continuously talk. Slow down and let the audience reflect a bit. This gives you more control and more audience involvement. You are also allowing your audience to reach to you.

4. Ask you audience some questions whether rhetorical or actual. Knowing your audience, interacting with them, creates a connective relationship right there and increases trust and reduces your anxiety significantly, when you include them in your speech.
